Weeks of speculation — finally answered! Pat McAfee revealed himself as the mystery person who has been coaching Randy Orton through his heel turn. After Orton opened the show in his hometown of St. Louis and attacked Cody Rhodes, McAfee walked out to a massive reaction and confirmed everything.
"SmackDown had the worst-rated episode of all time — and it has a PUPPET for a Champion. Orton will SAVE this business!" — Pat McAfee
McAfee went on an absolute tirade — saying he misses the Attitude Era, that the current product is terrible, that tickets to WrestleMania are still available because of Cody Rhodes, and that he has been the one on the phone telling Orton to "kill everything." He then helped Orton brutally attack Cody Rhodes to close the segment — leaving The American Nightmare laying in St. Louis!
