Savitri Devi — played with warmth and elegance by Neetu Singh — is a grandmother who has been quietly feeling invisible within her own large joint family. Everyone is busy with their own lives, careers and relationships. Nobody really sees her. In a moment of loneliness and a small social media mishap, she inadvertently posts something that the entire family misinterprets as her announcing she is getting married again.
The chaos that follows is both hilarious and deeply moving. Her children panic. Her grandchildren are confused. Her granddaughter's upcoming wedding is suddenly in danger of being derailed. Enter Tony Kalra — played by the comedy superstar Kapil Sharma in his Bollywood film debut — who steps in with genuinely good intentions to help mend the deep family rifts that this one incident has exposed.
The film is at its best when it touches on something genuinely true — that elderly family members are often the last people anyone makes time for, and that growing old does not mean becoming invisible. Neetu Singh gives a career-best performance, balancing warmth, humor and genuine emotion throughout. Critics praised the film as "heartfelt" and noted that even in its noisy, chaotic moments, it reminds audiences of something important about family and aging. Kapil Sharma proves he belongs on the big screen in a restrained, likeable debut performance.
