Story and Plot
The Punisher: One Last Kill (2026) is a Marvel Television Special Presentation — a lean, brutal, and emotionally devastating story that asks the most dangerous question Frank Castle has ever faced: What happens when there's no one left to punish? Set concurrently with the events of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, the special bridges the gap between Frank's return in Born Again Season 1 and his upcoming appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Frank Castle — the man who became The Punisher after his wife and children were slaughtered in a Central Park crossfire — has been running on rage for years. But now the rage is running dry. The last of the criminals linked to his family's deaths are dead. The skull is still on his chest. And Frank doesn't know who he is without a war to fight.
That fragile peace is shattered when Frank learns that the Gnucci Crime Family — the powerful New York mob first referenced in his Netflix series and drawn directly from Garth Ennis' landmark comic run Welcome Back, Frank — still has members walking free. Ma Gnucci, played with icy menace by Judith Light, is the last name on Frank's list. Accompanied by his old friend Curtis Hoyle (Jason R. Moore) — a former U.S. Navy SARC now leading a veteran therapy group — Frank navigates the double life of a man trying to heal while simultaneously hunting. Two new characters, Charli and Dennis, pull Frank into unexpected emotional territory that complicates his one-track-mind mission. Karen Page, reprised by Deborah Ann Woll, also returns — a reminder of the humanity Frank keeps trying and failing to hold onto.
