Story and Plot
In the fictional world of Fullmetal Alchemist (2003), alchemy is a science — a precise discipline governed by the law of Equivalent Exchange: to gain something, something of equal value must be lost. Brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric grew up in the rural village of Resembool, trained in alchemy by their father — a renowned alchemist who abandoned them.
