After the harrowing events of Vadh (2022), retired schoolteacher Shambhunath Mishra and his wife Manju believed they had buried their darkest secret forever. The murder they committed — a desperate act of self-defense against a ruthless local goon who had been terrorizing their family — had gone undetected, and life slowly returned to its quiet rhythm in their modest small-town home.
Vadh 2 picks up months later. Shambhunath is trying to move on, but the guilt gnaws at him every night. Manju, once a timid housewife, has grown colder — hardened by what they did. Their relationship, once built on decades of quiet love, now exists on a foundation of shared sin and unspoken fear.
Everything changes when Raghav — the younger brother of the man they killed — arrives in town. Unlike his deceased brother, Raghav is not a petty criminal. He is a calculated, intelligent, and deeply vengeful man who suspects the Mishras know more than they are letting on. He begins circling them like a predator, slowly tightening his grip through intimidation, social manipulation, and threats.
As Raghav's investigation gets closer to the truth, Shambhunath faces an impossible choice — confess and destroy everything, or commit another vadh to protect his family once more. But this time, the enemy is smarter, the stakes are higher, and the moral line has already been crossed.
Meanwhile, Manju takes matters into her own hands. No longer the scared wife hiding behind her husband, she emerges as the true backbone of the family — willing to do whatever it takes. The film builds to a devastating climax where the Mishras must confront not just their external threat, but the monsters they have become.
Director J. Rajesh crafts a sequel that is darker, more psychologically intense, and more morally complex than the original. Sanjay Mishra delivers a career-defining performance as a man drowning in guilt yet capable of terrifying violence, while Neena Gupta is electrifying as the wife who refuses to be a victim ever again. Saurabh Shukla joins the cast as Raghav, bringing a chilling calm to a character who embodies cold-blooded revenge.
