⚡ Contract Signing Ends In Chaos — The Viper Is BACK!
In the night's most shocking moment, Randy Orton turned heel on his best friend and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes during their WrestleMania 42 contract signing. The segment started warmly — Cody reminded the Phoenix crowd that his very first WWE match in 2007 was against Orton, and emotionally called Randy "family." Both men signed the contract.
"It was just supposed to be us, Cody. Me and you at Mania. That's it." — Randy Orton
Then, without warning — low blow. Orton nailed Cody with a cheap shot, hurled him out of the ring, slammed the steel steps onto his head, and repeatedly hit him with a chair while officials rushed in. GM Nick Aldis tried to intervene and was shoved away. Orton stood in the ring with the WWE Title in his hands — The Viper fully reborn. The crowd was absolutely stunned. WrestleMania 42's main event just got a whole lot more personal.
